Group Term Life Insurance is one of the most effective ways that IBAPA members can help protect their loved ones. This coverage, issued by The Prudential Insurance Company of America (Prudential), can be an affordable way for members to provide valued financial help for your family.
With the Premium or Platinum Membership a $10,000 Group Term Life benefit is incuded as part of your membership dues.
If you already have life insurance coverage through an employer, obtaining coverage through the IBAPA association membership is an easy way to supplement your existing life insurance and continue coverage at end of employment.
Choose one of our membership plans which includes Group Term Life coverage of $10,000.
You have the option to Increase your Coverage
If you would like to purchase more Group Term Life you may purchase the following:
- Optional Term Life in increments of $5,000 up to $500,000
- Spouse/Domestic Partner(SP/DP) in increments of $5,000 up to 100% of your chosen optional coverage amount not to exceed $150,000
- Child Dependents (coverage of $10,000)
Examples of additional Group Term Life coverage amounts that you may purchase, add your domestic partner and child dependents! Your chosen optional amount is available in increments of $5,000. Dependent coverage is not to exceed 100% of Member Amount.

The Dependent coverage option is $10,000 regardless of how many children you are covering for $1.80/month!
The above rates apply to those under 65, at age 65 to 69 Value is reduced to 65% of original face value and at age 70 to 74 Value is reduced to 50% of original face value.
Coverage ends at age 75.
ASSISTANCE FOR BENEFICIARIES: Prudential provides members and their families with help during the very difficult period that follows the death of a loved one. The Beneficiary Resources (www.prudential.com/workplacebeneficiary) offers access to emotional support as well as guidance on how to plan a funeral or file a death benefit claim.
Exclusions
If your death results from or is caused by suicide, while sane or insane:
- A death benefit is not payable if you die within two years of the date you became a Covered Person. But, Prudential will refund any premiums paid for your Member Term Life Insurance under this Coverage.
- The amount of any increase in your death benefit is not payable if you die within two years of the date of the increase. But, Prudential will refund any premiums paid for that increase.
